Services & Downtime in Milik's Hill

A the party continues to adventure and return with treasure they will have the opportunity to utilize those resources. Both for personal gain and to improve the town itself. The following describes various options for the use of a party member's time, resources, or wealth.

Sorisana Carmeys, Smith: Armour & Weapons

The slight, quiet, elven woman is an extraordinarily skilled smith; specializing in armour and weapon crafting in particular. Recently, Sorisana has had her ancestral blacksmithing tools returned to her from The Frontier, increasing the speed of her craft by a considerable margin.

Kruug, Alchemist: Potions & Remedies

Kruug, the half-orc alchemist rescued by the party from the clutches of the hobgoblin Gore-Lance Legion is an knowledgeable alchemist, chemist, and herbalist. With the help of the party he has been able to set up a shop in the hamlet of Milik's Hill to sell his wears.

With greater investment, Kruug might be able to brew more exotic potions. or now he can make the basics:

Jarin Ashglade, Merchant

The party met Jarin at the very beginning of their adventure and have had a profitable business relationship with the traveling merchant. Recently Jarin has set down roots in Milik's Hill, opening a shop with the help of the party and a Uthar's ability to find a clever legal loophole to reduce his start up costs.

Downtime Relaxation

Being in civilization and safety, regardless of how much of a backwater some people might consider Milik's Hill, can be relaxing if one takes the time.

While in the hamlet a player character can instead of pursuing any other project or task relax for a downtime turn (the GM will inform the party of how many turns they have avalible). To do so they must pay 5 silver crowns (with bonus available for 10, +1; 20 +2; 50, +3; for the roll). The pc then makes a roll with a DC equal to 5 + the highest danger level of the areas they traveled through. If successful they recive one Hero Point, if they fail the DC for the next attempt drops by 5.
