The next day, day 172, began with further conversation on the activities at had. Tolfdir informed the rest of the party that he had acquired a "book pass" from the House of the Zaffre Eye. The remainder of the day was spent in carefully crafting an arcane jewel. Jaime, and the party, deciding and attempting to to craft a Mythic Gem of Dexterity. The work went well and not only was the party left with a functioning gem but also with 100 gp worth of excess emerald dust from the process. Pleased they took their rest for the evening.

The next day saw the return of Jarin, bearing items that had been requested: a block of marble; a doorway or portal made of ivory, in the form of a "stargate" with vines climbing and swirling across it's form; and a trio of garnets, two royal and one lucent.

After concluding their business with Jarin, Uthar, Tolfdir, and Orn sought out Ithamar to speak with the mayor. Meanwhile, Tolfdir and Jaeme traveled back to Lillendale planning to return to the house of the Zaffre Eye.

The conversation with Ithamar went well with the party laying out their idea for an adventuring guild in the face of the increasing threats or the re-emergent tremors. Ithamar suggested the other side of the river that separated Miliks Hill from the frontier as a location for such a new structure.

In Lillendale, Tolfdir was able to re-enter the House of the Zaffre Eye - the House offered a day pass or a lifetime pass to Jaeme but the pair ultimately decided against it without knowing if there was the particular info that they were looking for - and begin searching for information about Arcane Jewels.

Back, that afternoon, in the Hill, Jules returned seeking out the party. Jules had been, in the middle of taking over his new domain, seeking out the remaining members of the cult that had caused the Earl Debois to turn against the Duke.

Jules had been very successful in this task, and he explained that the remaining dregs of the cult had consolidated in a fortified village. Unsure of what strength they might be hiding Jules offered the party the job of being the tip of the spear during the final assault on the location.

With Jules in tow the party traveled to Lillendale, rounded up Jaeme and Tolfdir and together, agreed to take on the task. The group planed to set out the next morning, Jules stating that he could provide transportation.

Returning to Lillendale the Party and the town at large were treated to the reveal of a new spell from Tolfdir. Stepping into the center of town Tolfdir split the very air itself conjuring a portal to anther realm within which stood a magnificent mansion. Fully equipped a festive atmosphere took hold and for a full 24 hours the town was able to enjoy the very lap of luxury.

The next morning, meeting up with Jules and a female arcanist, the party teleported to the location. There they found the village surrounded by spellblade knights and house Haskette arms-men.

After some discussion the party decided to attack alone, leaving the ring of Jules soldiers and knights to mop up any stragglers. Approving under the cover of Tolfdir's illusion of mist and fog they struck, transforming the illusion into a fierce dragon to further sow chaos in their enemies ranks.

The battle was fierce with the party pushing into the town and breaking the moral of the regular cultists. Deeper in the village, in a defiled temple, the found the heart of the cult and the result of a fell ritual: a six armed serpentine field wielding six blades and a crushing tail.

With spell and blade the party was able to, narrowly, overcome the leaders of the cult and their summoned monstrosity purging totally and absolutely a true threat to the realm.
